AALO, Oct 25: Anglers from Sikkim, Meghalaya and host Arunachal Pradesh took part in the second day of eco-tourism cum angling festival at Darak in West Siang district on 24 October.
There was cash prize of Rs 50, 000 for the biggest catch, Rs 30,000 and Rs 10,000 for second and third position holders respectively.
The anglers caught rich varieties of fishes and largest catch is reported to be more than 5 kg. All the fishes have been released back into the river after catching as per the angling norms and ethics.
Deputy Commissioner in-charge C Chukhu, Chief Engineer T Ronya, DTO TK Kopak also enthusiastically took part in the angling.
The angling competition was supervised by Arunachal Anglers’ Forum led by its president Bengia Tayu. DIPRO
