JULLANG, Oct 25: The second edition of the Teachers Trophy Tournament began at Himalayan University campus here on Wednesday.
MLA Lokam Tassar, who attended the inaugural function, advised the youths of the state to stay away from drugs.
Highlighting the harmful effects of drugs and substance abuse, Tassar advised the students to strive for academic excellence for their bright future. He stressed on the need for concerted effort to check the drugs menace.
Tassar also emphasized the importance of playing sports to stay physically fit, healthy and mentally sound.
Former HUSU president Giogi Tania also appealed to the youth to abstain from using drugs, which may ruin their lives.
The tournament has been organized by Himalayan University Students’ Union.
