AALO, Nov 7: The 12-hour Aalo township bandh imposed by the Aalo Area Students’ Union on Thursday passed off peacefully.
All vehicles were off the road and business establishments remain closed. However, the government offices functioned normally. No untoward incident was reported.
The district administration had held a meeting with the executive members of the union on Tuesday and apprised them of the action taken by the government and the administration pertaining to all the points raised by the union, but the union decided to go ahead with the bandh all the same.
The ADC, under Section 144 CrPC, declared the bandh illegal, and beefed up security to contain any unlawful activities. (DIPRO)
