Hundreds benefit from SAD camp

KENGKHU, Nov 9: About 400 people from Kengkhu, Chokdok, New Thamlom and Rangkatu villages availed the services facilitated through various departments during a district administration conducted Sarkar Aapke Dwar camp at Kengkhu village under Changlang district on Saturday.
During the camp, 16 women were provided free LPG connections.
Addressing a huge gathering, Changlang Deputy Commissioner RK Sharma dwelt on the services which would be provided during the camp and urged the villagers to avail the facilities. He also exhorted them to shun opium addiction and other contraband substances. He further appealed to all and sundry for conservation of the Tirap River.
Changlang Superintendent of Police Mihin Gambo appealed to the gathering to help the Police department in maintaining peace and tranquillity in the district.
NABARD DMM Kamal Roy also informed the villagers about various schemes extended by the NABARD.
