NAMSAI, Nov 18: A district level awareness programme to sensitize self-help group members, farmer producers’ organizations and other stakeholders on ‘Agricultural Marketing Infrastructure’, a sub-scheme of the Integrated Scheme for Agricultural Marketing, was organised by the NABARD at the KVK here in Namsai district on Monday.
NABARD District Development Manager Kamal Roy made a detailed PowerPoint presentation on operational guidelines of the agriculture marketing infrastructure. The scheme will be implemented by the Department of Agriculture, Cooperation and Farmers’ Welfare, GoI through the Directorate of Marketing & Inspection.
He urged all the participants to avail the benefits of the scheme. He also highlighted the eligibility and the procedures to be followed in order to avail subsidy under the scheme.
Officials from various state government departments, ArSRLM and bankers interacted with the participants.
