DC lays foundation stone for resettlement of village

SEPPA, Dec 8: East Kameng Deputy Commissioner Gaurav Singh Rajawat on Saturday laid the foundation stone for resettlement of Kesse Bagang village.
The resettling of the village is aimed at bringing together all the households and providing all basic facilities in one place.
Prior to laying the foundation stone, the DC visited various schools that come under the EKSWCO’s ‘outreach education orientation programme’.
Terming the day “historic,” Rajawat commended those who donated land for resettling the village, and urged the villagers to tap the tourism potential of the area and keep the village clean and hygienic.
Assuring that he would direct the HoDs to provide all possible assistance for holistic development of the village, the DC urged the villagers to take up activities in the agriculture and allied sectors to become self-employed and prevent emigration. He also urged them to ensure better education for their children.
Rajawat informed about Chayangtajo MLA Hayeng Mangfi’s initiative to install water supply facility in the village, and assured to install solar streetlights in the village.
Responding to a memorandum submitted by the villagers, the DC advised them to “conceptualize and submit a comprehensive plan, incorporating all basic facilities required for a model village,” and assured to pursue it with the authority concerned.
Congratulating the villagers, EKSWCO chairman Dahey Sangno urged them to work in tandem for all-round development of the village, and to keep their village clean.
Bagang Welfare Society chairman More Bagang also spoke.
Among others, the DC was also accompanied by Chayangtajo ADC Rajib Chiduni, DFO Navneet Shrivastav, DDSE Kata Rangmo, DPO T Perme, AMDO K Dodum, RWD AE S Cheda, and EKSWCO GS Nikam Tallang. (DIPRO)
