TAWANG, Dec 13: The 4th district-level Hangpan Dada Memorial Trophy (HDMT) tournaments for Tawang concluded here on Friday with the men’s football final match played between PP-XI Tawang and United Football Club Jang.
The United Football Club Jang won the match 1-0.
The men’s volleyball title was won by Ketchengha. They beat GHSS Lungla in 2-0 sets in the final.
The football and volleyball titles in the girls’ category were won by KGBV Lungla. They beat KGBV Kangteng 4-0 in football. KGBV Kangteng also lost the volleyball final to the same opponent.
The winners of both the categories were awarded Rs 50,000 each along with trophies.
Phurpa Gombu of United Football Club Jang and Lobsang Lhamu of KGBV Lungla were adjudged the best male and female football player, respectively. The titles for the best volleyball players in the boys’ and girls’ categories were won by Passang Gombu of Ketchengha and Tashi Eton of KGBV.
The individual prize winners were also awarded cash prizes with trophies.
Among others, local MLA Tsering Tashi and DC Sang Phuntsok witnessed the final match. (DIPRO)
