PASIGHAT, Jan 6: East Siang Deputy Commissioner Kinny Singh during a meeting here on Monday reviewed the status of the ‘perspective plans for generation and transmission system for the power sector of East Siang district’.
The DC emphasized on “early completion of the required operational infrastructure, expediting it with improved processes for making the power sector robust and resilient.”
She reviewed various issues related to the completion of the comprehensive power transmission scheme in East Siang.
“After completion of this scheme, East Siang district will have an alternative means of grid connectivity,” she said.
She also reviewed issues related to land, and instructed the administrative officers and the DLRSO to address all the issues expeditiously.
The DC also instructed the Powergrid DGM to ensure timely completion of works at the Napit and the Niglok substations. (DIPRO)
