APSSB exams and Donggin festival

Dear Editor,
This is regarding the written examination for the post of LDC and JSA being conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board vide its order No APSSB-75/2019, dated 8/1/2020, which is scheduled for 2 February, 2020.
I would like to inform that 2 February is a notified date published in the state gazette for the celebration of Donggin festival of the Adi community.
We are all aware of the fact that a festival is not just an occasion for merrymaking, eating and revelry, it’s also an important occasion to showcase the rich culture and tradition of the tribal people in our state. Therefore it’s of outmost importance that the youths and the young generation take active part in such festivals to carry forward the rich culture and tradition through our festival.
Unfortunately, the date of the written examination for the post of LDC and JSA being conducted by the Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board clashes with the Donggin festival celebration date. This will deprive many youths who are interested in both the interview as well as the festival from participating in either of the one.
In this regard, the organizing committee of Donggin festival, as well as the Chebung Banggo Welfare Society (CBWS), humbly requests the esteemed office of the APSSB to reconsider the above interview date and postpone it to some other date please.
Sincerely,
Tashor Pali,
Chief Adviser, CBWS and Donggin Festival Celebration Committee, Itanagar
