BASAR, Jan 16: The West Siang district TB centre launched the ‘Active TB case finding activity (ACF)’ here in Leparada district on Thursday, under the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme.
DMO Dr Karrik Basar flagged off the ACF team from the CHC here, in the presence of District TB Officer Dr Karmar Dirchi, medical officers, and health staffers.
As part of the programme, door-to-door visits will be made by NTEP staffers, medical officers, ASHAs, etc. They will conduct screening for any TB symptoms and collect sputum samples. If the tests return positive, the patients concerned will be put on treatment under the DOTS.
