AdiSU calls for peaceful coexistence

ROING, Jan 19: The Adi Students’ Union (AdiSU), led by its president Nang Gao, prayed for peaceful coexistence of the Adis and Khamtis in the disputed areas in Namsai district.
Speaking at the annual conference of the Adi Ba:ne Kebang (ABK), held here in Lower Dibang Valley district from 17 to 19 January, Gao while calling for peace said the AdiSU would extend support to the Adis residing in Namsai.
ABK president Getom Borang urged the ABK representatives in various districts to “work for the social betterment of the Adis all over the world while maintaining cordial relations of peace and harmony amongst all other tribes of the state.”
ABK general secretary Okom Yosung also called for the Adis and Idu Mishmis to “continue their cordial coexistence in Lower Dibang Valley for collective development of the region.”
Idu-Mishmi Cultural & Literary Society president Ginko Linggi had also attended the inaugural ceremony of the conference.
