ITANAGAR, Jan 28: The All Arunachal Contractor’s Welfare Association (AACWA) on Tuesday claimed that the state government was not releasing fund to pay several contractors who have completed their projects.
In a press release, the association expressed concern over the “non-getting of authorization for releasing LOC to some departments by state government.”
“In the name of geotagging, several files were returned from the finance department,” the association claimed, and questioned the “delay tactics policy adopted by state government to hide about their state financial conditions.”
Criticizing the “allocation of funds under the cabinet committee on infrastructure after discontinuation of SADA, SIDF, budget estimate and RE,” the association said “it becomes more individualistic as schemes are not known by common people.”
It opined that “common development schemes should equally be known by public to check misuse of developmental funds.”
Meanwhile, the association urged the state government to direct the banks in the capital complex to replenish their ATMs with cash for the convenience of the customers.
“Most of the ATM counters of the State Bank of India are in defunct position,” it said.
