Surveillance along Pangsau Pass border for coronavirus

ITANAGAR, Jan 28: The trade & commerce department has issued an advisory to the Changlang deputy commissioner to carry out surveillance as a precautionary step against the coronavirus influenza along the Pangsau Pass border haat in Changlang district.
“In view of the alarming situation of coronavirus influenza outbreak, it is desirable to take due diligent care and make all relevant apparatus in active motion, especially along the Pangsau Pass border haat point of Changlang district, as there is possibility of outbreak of the virus from produces of third world country, which may likely be part of goods sold to Indian customers at the indicated border trade point, neighbouring Myanmar, which is in quite proximity to southern part of China,” Trade & Commerce Director Tokong Pertin informed in the advisory issued on 28 January.
