APLA to go digital soon, Sona inspects progress

ITANAGAR, Jan 28: Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly (APLA) Speaker PD Sona on Tuesday inspected the ongoing e-Vidhan project in the assembly secretariat here.
The national e-Vidhan application is a mission mode project to digitize and make the functioning of the state legislatures paperless. The project is in the final stage, and is all set to make assembly proceedings paperless from the upcoming budget session.
Once the e-Vidhan project is implemented, all information with regard to the legislative assembly will be available on the fingertips of the members, who can then use their tablets, laptops, etc, to see the list of business and read questions and other documents pertaining to house proceedings.
The speaker instructed the agency concerned to ensure that the project is implemented at the earliest. He called for maintaining the quality of work and ensuring that there are no loopholes or lapses in the project.
Officials of e-Vidhan informed Sona that the project work is in the final stage. They also presented a demonstration on the working and functioning of the e-Vidhan project.
