RONO HILLS, Jan 31: Kurung Kumey beat Lower Siang by two wickets in the 15th game of the Tado Kholi Inter-district Cricket Tournament played at the RGU playground here on Friday.
Kurung Kumey reached the 137-run target set to win by Lower Siang in 41.5 overs, losing eight wickets.
Kurung Kumey’s Lalit Gahlot, who took five wickets, conceding 34 runs from 8.4 overs, was adjudged the man of the match.
Earlier, Lower Siang opted to bat first and scored 136/10 in 35.4 overs.
In another match, Upper Subansiri beat Papum Pare by two wickets. Papum Pare, who batted first, set Upper Subansiri a modest 101-run target to win. Upper Subansiri chased the target in 20.2 overs, losing 8 wickets.
Nabam Abo took four wickets, while Arun Camdir Teli and Teli Sera took 2 wickets each for Papum Pare.
Amarjeet Sharma of the winning team won the man of the match award for his 41-run knock (4×6, 6×1).
