PANAJI, Feb 1: The official mascot of the 36th National Games, ‘Rugibula’, the flame-throated bulbul, was launched at a ceremony in the presence of union Youth Affairs & Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju, Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and Indian Olympic Association president Narinder Dhruv Batra on Saturday.
Goa will be hosting the 36th edition of the National Games from 20 October to 4 November.
Arunachal Sports Minister Mama Natung, Goa DCM Manohar Azgoankar, union MoS (in-charge) for AYUSH Shripad Naik, Olympic gold medallist Sushil Singh, and world champion in athletics, Anju Bobby George, also attended the function.
