NAMSAI, Feb 5: Seventy-eight government officials from various departments of Namsai district are undergoing a 12-day induction training programme (ITP) which began at the district secretariat here on Wednesday.
Sponsored by the department of personnel and training (DoPT), GoI, the training is being conducted by the Administrative Training Institute (ATI), Naharlagun in collaboration with the Namsai district administration.
In his inaugural address, ATI Director Pate Marik informed that the training was a pilot project of the DoPT, and five districts including, Papum Pare, Lower Subansiri, Kra Daadi, East Siang and Namsai were selected for the purpose.
He outlined that the objective of the training was to sensitize and familiarize the frontline government functionaries with office rules and procedures for better service delivery, good governance and to enhance work culture of government employees.
Namsai Deputy Commissioner B Talukdar urged all participants to imbibe the principles of the training and asked them to share the knowledge gained in the training with their fellow departmental colleagues and become model public servants.
