DIRANG, Feb 7: The National Research Centre on Yak (NRCY) here in West Kameng district organised an ‘awareness camp for tribal livestock farmers on scientific feeding and management of highland animals’ at Namshu village on Friday.
NRCY senior scientist Dr D Medhi briefed the farmers on “scientific feeding, breeding and reproductive and health management of different highland animals.”
The farmers were also briefed on “quality and hygienic milk production and value addition” by NRCY Technical Officer P Namje.
Raincoats, mineral mixtures, concentrate yak feed, salt, and basic veterinary medicines were later distributed among the farmers.
Former Thembang ZPM, Jam Tsering, also attended the programme.
One hundred livestock farmers from Namshu, Thembang, Panchavati, Munna Camp, Pangma, and other villages attended the camp.
