ITANAGAR, Feb 15: Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Governor BD Mishra have in separate messages greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Oriah festival of the Wancho community.
The CM in his message emphasized on wholehearted participation of all, irrespective of religious affiliations, in indigenous festivals like Oriah.
Lauding the Wanchos for maintaining their expertise in textile, handicrafts and traditional wood carving, he prayed to almighty Jowan Rang for peace and prosperity of all.
“This Oriah, let’s pray for peace, prosperity, good health and fast-paced development of Arunachal Pradesh,” he said.
The governor in his message expressed hope that the festival would strengthen emotional integration and brotherhood, and bring prosperity in the society.
“On this auspicious occasion, I pray to almighty Rangwan to bless each one of us with his choicest blessings,” he said. (CM’s PR Cell & Raj Bhavan)
