ITANAGAR, Mar 7: Governor BD Mishra has greeted the women of the state on the occasion of International Women’s Day (IWD).
In a message, the governor on Saturday expressed hope that the occasion would give women “the resolve for continued effort to study, to excel, to ‘Start up’, and to take lead in social uplift and entrepreneurship.”
Urging women to “dare the bias and inequality against them, forge gender equality, and pursue women’s advancement, achievement and empowerment,” the governor said that Arunachalee women have made significant contributions in all fields of life.
He said that the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Pema Khandu “is well poised to promote the holistic growth of our women to enable them achieve the empowered pedestal,” and wished all success of the IWD celebration in the state. (Raj Bhavan)
