SEGC approves 2020-21 labour budget

ITANAGAR, Mar 20: The State Employment Guarantee Council (SEGC) approved the labour budget, proposed through the GP level, for the 2020-21 financial year, during a meeting chaired by Rural Development (RD) Secretary Govind Jaiswal here on Friday.
“The council also approved 100 percent payment to the job card holders through DBT; switching of all blocks from e-FMS mode to NeFMS mode, so that the wage earners will receive their wages directly from the union rural development ministry to their respective bank accounts; and keeping 60 percent fund provision for NRM agriculture, livelihood-based activities,” RD Director Kego Jilen informed in a release.
The SEGC members, however, expressed serious concern over the poor performance of Dibang Valley, Lower Subansiri, West Siang, Leparada, Shi-Yomi and Lower Siang districts, and directed the department to take necessary steps to review their performance.
The meeting was attended by the secretaries and directors/CEs of the line department, Jilen said.
