Bureaucrats directed to undertake field visits

ITANAGAR, Apr 1: The state government has directed its senior officers to assess the precautionary measures and preparedness of the districts to tackle the spread of the novel coronavirus [Covid-19].
Power Commissioner GS Meena has been directed to inspect the TCL region, while RWD Secretary Kapa Kholie has been assigned Dibang Valley, Lower Dibang Valley, Lower Siang and Leparada districts.
Planning Secretary Himanshu Gupta has been deputed to assess the preparedness in Lohit, Namsai and Anjaw districts, and Agriculture Secretary Bidol Tayeng will inspect East Siang, Upper Siang, West Siang, Siang and Shi-Yomi districts.
Textiles & Handicrafts Secretary Swapnil Naik will undertake field inspection of Tawang, West Kameng, East Kameng and Pakke-Kessang, while Disaster Management Secretary Dani Salu will undertake inspection of Kurung Kumey, Kra Daadi, Kamle, Papum Pare, Lower Subansiri and Upper Subansiri districts.
Apart from monitoring the preparedness of the districts’ health facilities and reviewing the isolation of suspected Covid-19 cases, they will assess the supply of essential commodities and relief measures undertaken for the welfare of migrant workers and daily wage earners.
