Police seize suspected stolen car

BOMDILA, Apr 3: The police here in West Kameng district recently seized a white Toyota Fortuner car, suspected to be stolen, from the township area. A case (No 11/20 U/S 379/411 IPC) has been registered at the police station.
The vehicle, “with tempered engine and without number plate,” was seized by a police team led by PS OC, SI K Dev, during a naka to enforce the lockdown.
The police informed in a release that till now they have recovered 16 stolen motorcycles from various locations of Bomdila. Investigation is on to trace more stolen cars and motorcycles, they added.
The police have also registered six cases under Section 188 of the IPC as of now, and arrested six persons for violating the lockdown order.
