CM, Gov mourn Nido Techi’s demise

ITANAGAR, Apr 26: Chief Minister Pema Khandu has deeply mourned the demise of former Raga MLA Nido Techi, who passed away on 25 April.
“Late Nido Techi was known for his simplicity and upright political personality. Apart from being very active in social service, he is still revered by the people for his dedication to uplift the downtrodden sections of the society. In his demise, our state has lost a first-generation leader who led from the front,” Khandu said in his condolence message.
On behalf of his cabinet colleagues and the people of the state, the CM expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, and prayed to the almighty to bestow strength to the family to bear the irreparable loss.
“May the soul of one of the first-generation leaders of Arunachal Pradesh rest in peace in heavenly abode,” he said.
Governor BD Mishra has also deeply mourned Techi’s demise.
“In his death, the state has lost a true pioneer of democratic progress in Arunachal Pradesh,” Mishra said in his condolence message.
Describing Techi as an eminent social worker and a popular figure of present-day Kamle district, the governor said the memory of his valuable services to the state in his long sociopolitical career would always be cherished by the people.
“I join the people of Arunachal Pradesh to pray to the almighty god for grant of eternal peace for the departed soul and fortitude for the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss,” he said. (CM’s PR Cell & Raj Bhavan)
