SEPPA, May 2: The East Kameng Chamber of Commerce & Industries (EKCCI) on Saturday appealed to the chief secretary to reconsider the transfer order issued to Seppa ADC (HQ) Abhishek Polumatla.
“Transferring the ADC would be a huge setback for the district and the business community in particular,” EKCCI president Tasang Taku said in a statement.
He said the “the business community has felt safe and secure ever since Polumatla was posted at the headquarters.”
Describing the ADC as “an effective administrator who serves the people of the district with utmost sincerity and dedication,” Taku appealed to the CS to cancel the transfer order.
The East Kameng Social Welfare & Cultural Organization had also earlier appealed to the state authority to reconsider Polumatla’s transfer.
“The ADC has envisioned reformative steps for the business community in the district headquarters and transferring him out of the district at this crucial juncture would be a major setback to the district,” Taku said.
