36 Bn CRPF organise civic action prog

KHONSA, May 6: The 36 battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conducted an awareness programme on the Covid-19 as part of its civic action programme on Wednesday at Huakan, one of the remotest villages of Tirap district.
Commandant SR Behura briefed the villagers about maintaining social distance, washing hands with soap at regular intervals, using hand sanitizers and covering their noses and mouths with masks or other covers while sneezing and coughing.
The commandant also distributed three-layered face masks, hand sanitizers, gloves, body-rich multivitamin capsules, protein-x, dry fruits, and dietary supplements, such as Chywanprash, to the villagers to help them build their immune system and to prevent the spread of Covid-19.
The unit also carried out sanitisation drives in Huakan village area.
CMO Dr Krishan Aiswal, Second-in-Command Kamlesh Kumar, Chief of Huakan village, Kamwang Lowang and other dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
The people of Huakan appreciated the 36Bn CRPF for conducting the civic action programme in the time of crisis.
