WAKKA, May 8: The second phase of Arunachal Rising Campaign organized by department of information and public relations was launched here in Longding district on Thursday last. The campaign mainly focused on health and hygiene besides, clarification of certain myths and rumours related to covid-19.
During the campaign, people were asked to wear masks, maintain social distancing and help the administration in containing the spread of covid-19. They were also appealed to not to believe in rumours and stigmatize those placed in quarantine centers.
Later, CO Gyamar Amte nominated two nodal officers from each village of the circle to deal with covid-19 related issues. ‘The administration will take the matter only through these assigned nodal officers and no other members will be entertained,’ he added.
PHC MO i/c Dr. Anupam Saikia briefed the gathering on the importance of health and hygiene and demonstrated the technique of hand washing recommended by WHO to the gathering.
He further urged people to avoid spitting in public places. (DIPRO)
