DC inspects quarantine centres

ZIRO, May 11: Lower Subansiri DC Nending Chatung on Monday inspected the designated quarantine centres in Yachuli and Yazali to assess the infrastructure and manpower gaps there, and to ensure that the returnees are housed comfortably at the centres.
In Yachuli, the government circuit house and the hostels of the government college are the designated quarantine centres. Currently, seven returnees are housed at the circuit house.
On being apprised of the shortage of medical staffers and sanitary assistants by the nodal officer, the DC assured to “look into the matter and work out modalities for sharing medical staffers.”
In Yazali, the PWD circuit house has been designated as the quarantine centre.
“The 17 people under quarantine at this centre have all tested negative after RT-PCR tests. They will be discharged after official formalities, and will be advised home quarantine,” informed nodal officer Nich Teli. (DIPRO)
