Kaimai villagers donate light beddings, vegetables for quarantine centres

KHONSA, May 29: People of Kaimai village headed by village chief Khamwang Lowang donated large quantity of light bedding items along with green vegetables to Tirap district administration for the people staying in different quarantine centres in the district.
The donated items included twenty-five number each of bed sheet, blanket, pillow, mosquito net, besides hand sanitizers, mineral water, eggs and large quantity of vegetables.
While receiving the items from Khamwang Lowang, Tirap deputy commissioner Bhanu Prabha appreciated the people of Kaimai village for their generosity towards fighting against covid-19 in the district.
“It is a matter of great relief that at the time of crisis the people of Kaimai village have voluntarily donated a good numbers of light beddings items along with green vegetables to district administration,” the DC said adding that such exemplary cooperation from the public would definitely be morale booster for frontline warriors.
Later, the materials were distributed to Polytechnic and Don Bosco School, Kheti quarantine centres. (DIPRO)
