ITANAGAR, Jun 15: The Pare Project Land Affected Welfare Committee (PPLAWC) has announced its “first phase pen-down strike” from 29 June to 4 July over “non-regularization of 49 ITI contractual employees by NEEPCO Ltd authority despite several attempts made by the committee.”
In a representation to the NEEPCO CMD in Shillong (Meghalaya), the committee said that all 48 ITI contractual employees working under the NEEPCO’s Pare and Ranganadi hydroelectric projects “are debarred to perform their duty,” adding, however, that “they are asked to attend office during pen-down period.”
