PASIGHAT, 31 Mar: Three persons from Balek village here in East Siang district on Wednesday surrendered their air guns.
Ojing Pangkam, Tokin Dai and Oyin Moyong surrendered their guns in the office of the DFO (T) in the presence of HGB Otik Dai, village secretary Okeng Dai and the ABK’s East Siang unit general secretary Talut Siram.
DFO (T) Tashi Mize appreciated the people for responding to the call and coming forward to surrender their guns. He urged the people to create more awareness to stop hunting, saying that many important birds and animal species of the state are on the verge of extinction due to random hunting. (DIPRO)
