DUMPORIJO, 16 Apr: Local MLA Rode Bui on Tuesday inspected all the ongoing centrally-sponsored projects here in Upper Subansiri district.
The MLA inspected various schemes underway in Hane, Hali, Aya Marde, Yudik and Nirin villages and the PMGSY road from Dumporijo to Hali, besides checking on other projects like construction of bridges.
He expressed dissatisfaction over the progress of works undertaken by some contractors, and expressed concern over the delay in construction of bridges in Hali and Nirin villages.
“Complaints are being received from the public regarding the non-completion of the bridge construction despite the completion of time given to complete the project as per the DPR,” he said.
Bui told the implementing agency and the contractors to ensure that the quality of work is not compromised with, and asked the department concerned to regularly monitor the projects, especially the bridge, which is the lifeline for many villages.
