ZIRO, 19 Apr: One Kago Nado alias Rancho (21), of Nenchalya (Hija) village in Lower Subansiri district, was arrested on Sunday in connection with drug peddling and possession of contraband materials.
Upon receiving information from reliable sources, Ziro Police Station SI Pansam Mirip, who was on patrolling duty in the Nenchalya area, raided the house of the accused and seized 21 plastic tubes containing narcotic-like substances weighing 6 grams, a cash amount of Rs 18,100, and a Redmi mobile handset from his possession.
A case [No 16/21 u/s 21 (B) of NDPS Act] has been registered and further investigation is underway. (DIPRO)
