TALIHA, 15 May: A two-day ‘tree plantation-cum-awareness programme on wildlife and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’ was organized by the villagers of Rigia in Upper Subansiri district on Saturday, under the guidance of MLA Nyato Dukam.
The villagers also surrendered three airguns during the programme, in the presence of the Kodak CO and the Eba-4 ZPM. Rigia is the first village in Taliha circle to initiate the airgun surrender programme.
