ROING, 2 Jun: The All Idu Mishmi Students’ Union (AIMSU) distributed essential commodities, including masks and sanitizers to more than 100 stranded students of the Indira Gandhi Government College, Tezu on Wednesday.
Members of the AIMSU visited these students and conducted door-to-door distribution of the items, while following all government laid Covid-19 SOPs.
The student body called their deed an effort from their end to have the back of the student community during the hard times brought in by the pandemic and the lockdowns.
The union said that the fund for procuring the essential commodities was raised from amongst themselves, and few contributions from other youths of the community.
