DOIMUKH, 2 Jun: Doimukh SDO S Tayang said that Papum Pare being the capital district should be a torchbearer in Covid-19 vaccination campaign.
He was addressing a coordination meeting on Covid-19 vaccination campaign and testing at the SDO office here on Wednesday.
Tayeng also expressed his shock on ‘why people are glorifying the myths and misconception rather than following the medical advices.’
He requested everyone to extend necessary help to the health department in the fight against the second wave of Covid-19.
Papum Pare DMO Dr K Perme briefed the gathering about the status of Covid-19 vaccination in the district.
“There are some areas in Doimukh from where people are not coming forward for Covid-19 test,” the DMO said as he gave a brief description of the importance of vaccination and random testing. He also highlighted the role to be played by the PRI members and gaon burahs in the process of Covid-19 vaccination and testing.
Doimukh ZPM Techi Rakap, head GB Nabum Epo, GPM Tana Samson also spoke and assured to extend full cooperation to the health department during random testing and household survey for vaccination under Doimukh Subdivision. (DIPRO)
