ITANAGAR, 2 Jun: Two more people have died of Covid-19 in the state taking the total death toll to 118 in Arunachal.
A 56-year-old female died at the DCH, Chimpu in Itanagar on 1 June. She was not vaccinated and had tested positive for the virus on 6 May at the flu clinic in Heema hospital. She was admitted at the DCH on 10 May.
A 51-year-old from Lower Siang, who had taken her first dose of vaccination died at the DCH in Pasighat on 2 June. She had tested positive on 31 May at the flu clinic of the district hospital in Likabali and was admitted to the hospital a day later.
Both the patients were diabetic, according to the health department.
Meanwhile, 376 tested positive for the virus in the state, taking the total active cases to 3,817. The state saw a total collection of 7,181 samples. (See report)
Itanagar capital region reported 82 cases of the 1,871 tested, which indicates a four percent positivity rate.
Lower Subansiri reported 36 cases of the 348 tested with a positivity rate of 10 percent.
Pakke Kessang reported 24 percent positivity rate with eight of the 34 returning positive.
Lepa Rada reported 17 percent positivity rate with 18 of the 105 reporting positive.
Tawang also recorded a high positivity rate of 12 percent with 51 testing positive of the 431 tested.
A total of 329 people reportedly recovered from the virus in the state.
