AALO, 11 Jun: The Central Mopin Preservation and Cultural Society (CMP&CS) called for preservation and promotion of the age-old Galo culture and celebration of Galo festivals with “traditional sanctity.”
“The CMP&CS was constituted as the apex body of the Galo culture, where all senior citizens of the district are members, to give proper direction and dissemination of values in a systematic manner to give uniformity in our beliefs, thought patterns, and essence of festivals celebrations,” the leaders of the CMP&CS said while addressing a meeting held at Gumin Kiin here in West Siang district on 7 June.
CMP&CS president Mijum Lona, vice president Jumi Doji and secretary-general Gekar Angu spoke on the occasion.
The central Mopin celebration committee-2021 was also formed during the meeting. (DIPRO)
