NIRJULI, 11 Jul: A three-day ‘personality orientation camp’ for the staff members of the Nyubu Nyvgem Yerko (NNY) concluded at the VKV premises here on Saturday.
The NNY, situated in Rang village near East Kameng HQ Seppa, is an institution which provides a blend of traditional as well as modern education to the students.
The camp here was organized by the Donyi Polo Cultural and Charitable Trust (DPCCT) in collaboration with the state unit of the Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti.
Resource persons Rupesh Mathur and SC Dixit and faculty members of the VKV conducted sessions on topics such as positive thinking, power of words, story making, sense of responsibility, etc, during the camp.
Group discussions, motivational activities and sharing of opinions by the participants were other elements of the programme.
Addressing the concluding ceremony, DPCCT chairman Katung Wahge said
that the NNY is “a unique and first of its kind of institution in the country.”
“The staff members of the NNY have a greater responsibility to keep the younger generations attached with their culture, preservation and promotion of tribal identity,” Wahge said.
DPCCT vice president Paid Dawe also spoke.
Nineteen members – eight staffers (first batch) of the NNY and 11 workers from the Vivekananda Kendra Arun Jyoti – attended the programme.
