PASIGHAT, 15 Jul: Mebo MLA Lombo Tayeng on Thursday asked the works departments to complete all the projects in Mebo subdivision in East Siang district within the stipulated time and ensure their durability.
“The people must get full benefits of project implementation,” Tayeng said during a review meeting on various development projects, convened by Mebo ADC Einstein Koyu in Mebo.
Presiding over the meeting, Tayeng directed the HoDs to expedite the execution of the development projects, and asked them to develop a “spirit of collectivism and belongingness” while implementing government schemes and projects.
The MLA also instructed the officers to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply, good road connectivity, and all necessary facilities for the people. He asked the officers to make the local people aware of the benefits of schemes to ensure transparency and accountability.
Calling for a strong mechanism to prevent leakage or misutilization of allocated public money, Tayeng assured that he would periodically assess and monitor the implementation of the schemes and projects.
To tackle the prevailing Covid situation, Tayeng reiterated the need to adhere to Covid-appropriate behaviour and get vaccinated.
Power EE Tarik Mize, RWD EE Kipa Rinia, PHED EE Mizing Dupak, WRD AE Geyon Tayeng and PWD AE Neki Ratan made presentations on the achievements, issues and challenges in projects’ implementation. (DIPRO)
