PASIGHAT, 15 Oct: Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, marked the end of the Durga Puja celebration here in East Siang district on Friday.
The festival organizers immersed the puja materials in the Siang river at Komolighat as per the Vedic tradition on Friday afternoon.
No idols of goddess Durga or other gods and goddesses were installed in the puja venues this year. The organizers had decided to perform ghat puja, owing to Covid-19 restrictions.
