KHONSA, 18 Jan: The first monthly sitting of the Tirap unit of the Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) was held here on 15 January.
The meeting was attended by Tirap APLS unit general secretary Alenso Chai, DLIO Chaphun Sumnyan and the executive members of the Tirap APLS.
Chai highlighted Dr Ambika Aiyadurai’s literature on traditional hunting practices of the Mishmi tribe, as well as Verrier Elwin’s The Philosophy of NEFA.
Earlier, the participants decided that the monthly sittings for Deomali subdivision
will be organized separately under the leadership of Tirap APLS president Gankhu Sumnyan and vice president Chatung Lowang, in view of the prevailing Covid situation. (DIPRO)
