AKA field 50-strong contingent for Youth Games All India National Championship

ITANAGAR, 19 Jan: Arunachal Karate Do Association (AKA) has fielded a 50-strong contingent for the Youth Games All India National Championship, 2022 to be held in Goa on 22 and 23 January.

Arunachal will participate in the boys’ and girls’ u-17, u-19 and above 19 years categories.

Sensei Rakesh Gamnu and Sensei Prakash Limbu are the manager and coach of the team.

AKA president Hanshi Likha Tara, along with technical chairman Shihan S Dehen Sharma and technical director Dr Marli Ette briefed the karatekas about the tournament and encouraged them to perform up to their potentials and bring laurels to the state.

Tara advised the players to practice hard with dedication, saying that “there is no shortcut to success.”

He also said that the 25th Aka State Level Karate Championship will be organized along with the golden jubilee celebration of AKA in March, if the Covid situation improves.

The team was scheduled to leave here for Goa Wednesday night. (With DIPRO inputs)
