MECHUKHA, 2 Apr: Twenty livestock and poultry farmers benefitted from an ‘awareness-cum-animal health camp’ organised at Singbir village here in Shi-Yomi district by the ICAR’s Basar (Leparada)-based state centre on Friday.
During the programme, veterinary extension senior scientist Dr Doni Jini delivered a lecture on common diseases of livestock and poultry, which was followed by a demonstration of treatment of foot and mouse disease and tick infestation in livestock.
Agroforestry scientist Rajesh A Alone spoke about some common fodder trees as forage for sustainable livestock production.
Singbir village GPC Rinjin Yomre also spoke.
Veterinary medicines and feed supplements for livestock and poultry were distributed to the farmers.
