CHONGKHAM, 2 Mar: A training programme on ‘Enterprises development for developing community resource persons for enterprise promotion (CRP-EP) from SHGs’ was held here in Namsai district on Saturday.
During the programme, which was conducted by the Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission in collaboration with NGO Kudumbashree, NABARD DDM Kamal Roy emphasised on “creating more awareness through financial literacy programmes.” He also highlighted different developmental interventions of the NABARD in the district for the uplift of rural women, SHGs and farmers.
Industries EO Brij Mohan Kumar shed light on the schemes being implemented by his department, such as the PMEGP, the PMFME, etc, for promotion of medium- and large-scale enterprises.
The CRP-EPs were familiarised with the different schemes and their requirements. They will in turn facilitate aspiring entrepreneurs in setting up their businesses through counselling, viability, business plan preparation, credit linkage, market linkage and hand-holding support up to one year after the establishment of the enterprise.
The major focus of the programme was on the operational difficulties which the community-based organisations as well as line departments face in implementing various schemes.
