RONO HILLS, 11 Apr: The Mishmi Students Union, Rajiv Gandhi University (MSURGU), in collaboration with the Itanagar unit of the Mishmi Welfare Society (MWS), organised a ‘career counselling-cum-felicitation programme’ here on Monday.
A total of 186 participants attended the programme and felicitated the Mishmi achievers residing in the Itanagar Capital Region.
Those who were felicitated were Sokhep Kri, Dr Sopai Tawsik, Hajuli Pulu, Khijum Manyu, Chayut Kri, Sokhyai Mam, Toka Meya, Moream Tamai and Akepi Linggi, who have been promoted to higher posts, besides Maya Pulu for being inducted into the APSCW, and Bharati Yun, who has joined the State Information Commission as a system analyst.
APPSCCE 2016 topper Bittu Kri spoke about career prospects and ways to prepare for competitive examinations. He urged all Mishmi students to “prepare and do smart hard work in order to excel.”
Medical Education Joint Director Dr Sopai Tawsik, AP Medical Council registrar Dr Mika Umpo, APSLSA Member Secretary Jaweplu Chai, Panchayati Raj Director Tamune Miso, and RGU scholar Hemant Gamre spoke on various aspects and urged all to “move towards a common goal of achieving vibrant society.”
Indigenous Affairs Director Sokhep Kri released his newly recorded music album during the programme.
MWS Itanagar unit president Dr Anil Mili and MSURGU general secretary Apotso Chikro also spoke.
