TAWANG, 13 Apr: A three days block-level foundation-cum-functional training to empower Panchayati Raj system through SPICE (Sustainable, Participative, Inclusive, Comprehensive and Empowerment) model for CD block Tawang was inaugurated at DC’s conference hall here on Wednesday.
In his inaugural address, ADC Lobsang Tsering said, “Climate change is a burning issue worldwide but in Tawang waste management is main concern, and we have to bring behavioral change to stop spreading plastic wastes and littering indiscriminately.”
He requested PRI members to take responsibility to coordinate waste management.
Speaking about empowerment of PR institute, he said, “PRI members should be active in functioning by involving govt. agencies, functioning is more important since power comes with function and function is your duty.”
He further requested all PRI members to take the training seriously and asked for cooperation to govt. officers in implementing schemes.
Tawang ZPM Tsering Dorjee asked them to be attentive and sincere in delivering their service to the public.
