NAMSAI, 28 Apr: Namsai has become the second district after Papum Pare to operationalise the single-window clearance system by issuing five new/fresh trade licences on Thursday through the single-window clearance/ease of doing business (EoDB) portal of the state.
The EoDB is an index-based ranking system developed by the World Bank Group, where countries are ranked based on how conducive the regulatory environment is for investment and business.
The investment division of the planning & investment (PI) department has on-boarded 61 services to
the EoDB portal till date, “in which 44 services are developed by the investment division and 17 independent services are linked to the EoDB portal www.eodb.arunachal.gov.in,” the department informed in a release.
“A team from the PI department conducted a weeklong hands-on training programme for the Namsai district administration to operationalise the single-window clearance system,” it said.
Single Window Clearance Authority CEO Tabe Haidar expressed appreciation for the Namsai district planning officer “for implementing the EoDB through the window clearance system in the district.”
He advised other districts also to implement the EoDB portal.
