BASAR, 10 May: The ICAR’s research complex here in Leparada district organised a ‘training-cum-input distribution programme’ for farmers at the ICAR’s research farm in Gori village on Tuesday.
ICAR Arunachal Pradesh Centre Joint Director Dr H Kalita presented a brief on the technologies developed by the ICAR for livelihood improvement, and requested farmers to adopt the technologies for income generation.
Fruit science specialist Dr Thejangulie Angami spoke about “scientific agro-techniques of fruits crops in general and Assam lemon in particular,” while plant pathologist Dr Raghuveer Singh highlighted “organic disease management in fruits crops.”
At the end of the programme, Assam lemon saplings were distributed among the farmers.
