DOIMARA, 16 May: A lone wild elephant wreaked havoc in Doimara area of West Kameng district on Sunday night, damaging a house in the village and the Kamengbari-Doimara circle officer’s (CO) office, besides partially damaging the village Gonpa.
The elephant was chased away, but there is fear among people as wildlife is very active in Kamengbari-Doimara circle.
A committee has been formed under the chairmanship of the Kamengbari-Doimara CO. It will submit the damage report to the government. (DIPRO)
